OK, first I have to explain the title. I took a class a few years back to help me get more organized. One of the rather zen concepts they taught us was about dealing with worry.

Picture a clear mountain lake - calm, undisturbed, without a ripple on the surface. Throw a pebble into the lake and it'll ripple outwards, but quickly go back to a calm, clear surface. A bigger rock causes more ripples, but eventually it'll be calm again.

"Mind Like Water" refers to how you should look at the little and big worries. The rocks keep coming, but eventually, it'll be calm again. You also shouldn't be looking at the shore wondering which pebble, rock or boulder will be the next one to drop. Deal with what you have to; don't create unnecessary ripples.
